Fine

The last piece of this cycle was composed as a positive ending. Similar to the famous quote: “Everything is going to be fine in the end. If it’s not fine it’s not the end.”

I’ve used my beloved guitar delays supported by my orchestra in the box. It’s still surprising me what’s possible with a laptop and a guitar, today. These are great times for people like me – I would not regret if it continues.

Epic Stuttering

I’ve tried to support a stuttering guitar with a choir to generate something “epic creepy”:

To extend the creepy factor I’ve used the whammy of the solo guitar at some major tones – hope that the whole idea had survived during listening.

March For Enlightenment

Here I’ve changed the theme during this release phase: From destructive to a constructive motivation.
I’ve used a more orchestral instrumentation to highlight that the enlightenment was started in 1700.

But after 300 years there’s still much room for improvement for the next 300 years.

Fracked Up

This was somehow “inspired” by the latest ideas of the oil industry to keep the status quo of 1st world’s lifestyle. I hope you can still hear the sound of “positive thinking” while “doing negative”:

Wasting the planet while feeling good.

Need more time

Influenced by my former song “Drums Of Time” I’ve composed something more melodic, more pop and add a reserve sound part – therefore I’ve kept “Time” in this title, too.

And by the way: “Time” would unfortunately be a very good tag for each of my songs, because I still need a lot of it to finish a song.

Restart

After a creative release pause, that I’ve used to improve my mixing and mastering skills and trying to get more “song character” to my … songs, I’m back again with songs for my new EP.

Here’s the leading track “Drums Of Time”:

I will release further songs at each weekend from now.

Back In Japan

Due to my job I’m from time to time in Tokyo. To write here something about the “strange” and “oriental” soul of the Japanese culture would be to corny from my point of view.

Tokyo is always a surprising event for me and yes, it’s a combination of a middle age society and absolute modern technology – like most western societies, too. Tried to put this into this song “One Day in Japan” and completely failed, but the Taikos kept it alive.

On the way to heaven

After a short creative break I wanted to make something that should sound like re-starting small again and turns into something bigger when four angles start to sing: Let’s Go!
